New cases for the Samsung Galaxy S5

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 will be launched during spring 2014.

It has been only a year since Samsung launched its Samsung Galaxy S4 and the different variations (Mini S4, S4 Gold…), yet rumor has it the new Samsung Galaxy S5 will launched in February 2014, several months before the initial launching date decided by the Korean manufacturer.

Different sources mentioned that the Galaxy S5 will first be presented during the CES (Consumer Electronic Show), which will be held from the 7th until the 10th of February, in Las Vegas. Then it will officially be launched during the MWC (Mobile Word Congress), in Barcelona. We can expect a quick commercialization of this new device, most probably during spring.

So what should we expect from the newest member fo the Galaxy family? The S5 will be more efficient, with a flexible design. The camera will be 16 megapixel 4K, the battery will last longer, the frame will be aluminum based but most of all, a retinal recognition to challenge the digital recognition Apple launched with its iPhone 5.

The quick launched of the new smartphone can be explained by the high competition in the market. If the Galaxy S4 was a success (with more than 40 million users worldwide), new and important competitors emerged recently.

Indeed, set aside the fact that the iPhone 5S managed to take over some of Samsung fans, new competitors are arriving and they plan on doing big in the smartphone market. Just like Google, who got Motorola, or Microsoft, who got Nokia, who are planning on launching their new devices in 2014. Lets us not forget also about Lenovo, the Chinese manufacturer, who succeeded the tour de force to become the third smartphone manufacturer in the world in 2013.
