The Ramatuelle Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary from August 1st to 12th, 2014
The Ramatuelle Festival… celebrates its 30th anniversary!
On a summer’s night 30 years ago, a theatre was born…, this year the Ramatuelle Festival celebrates its 30th edition.
Jacqueline Franjou and Michel Boujenah will welcome artists from variety, the theatre and comedy, and it is in this spirit with a mix of passion and sharing, that the festival opens its doors from 1 to 12 August 2014.
30 years… 30 dates, Michel Boujenah said with a touch of irony at the closing ceremony of the 29th festival… We wondered if he was being serious, but we thought that he had gone slightly mad… In any case we expected something grandiose… And we won’t be disappointed… the programme is on a par with any major national event.
This year the festival is definitely eclectic, funny, beguiling and even a little rock ‘n’ roll… -M- alias Matthieu Chédid and Enrico Macias will get everybody on their feet with their songs we all know and sing along to.
The theatre will make us laugh, and move us too! Le Placard - The Cupboard by Francis Veber with Elie Semoun in the lead role of François Pignon. Philipe Lellouche with his merry troupe of actors with L’appel de Londres - London Calling. Not forgetting Le fils du comique – The playwright’s son a modern day comedy written by and starring Pierre Palmade.
Having a good laugh is definitely part of the programme, with Laurent Gerra’s show mixing impressions and musical medlies, and Claudia Tagbo, as crazy and lively as ever with her stand-up comedy and songs.
But what would the Ramatuelle Festival be without theatre? Fanny Ardant and Nicolas Duvauchelle will play in Des journées entières dans les arbres – Whole days in the trees. Discover Francis Huster in L’affrontement - Confrontation delivering ferocious humour and human tenderness, and last but not least Ensemble et Séparement - Together and Separately where the seduction of Marthe Villalonga allies with the mischievous character of Jean Piat.
For this special anniversary occasion Michel Boujenah proposes an evening of laughter where the young actors and comedians Florent Peyre, Antonia and Masques et Nez [Masks and Noses] can show their talents.
Michel Boujenah himself plays the last night of the festival with his latest one man show Ma vie, autobiographie imaginaire - My Life, an imaginary autobiography.
The 30th Edition of the Ramatuelle Festival promises some wonderful theatrical performances, some amazing artists and a load of laughs. Enough reasons to make this annual event something not to be missed. Make sure you don’t!!!!!
