62nd GIRAGLIA ROLEX CUP from June 13th to 21st, 2014
“Three days of racing on 35 miles coastal itinary in the Bay of Saint-Tropez”
Giraglia Rolex Cup, designed in 1953 by Italian and French sailors will celebrate its 62nd edition. Organized by the Yacht Club Italiano, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez and the luxury watchmaker Rolex, this race has become one of the largest regattas off the Mediterranean with over 200 vessels engaged.
Each year, worldwide navigators get together in the famous harbour of Saint-Tropez, bringing majestic “maxis” some of which approach 30 meters with 20 sailors on board and yachts of 10 meters bring together of experienced amateurs.
THE GREAT RACE, DEFINING MOMENT OF THE GIRAGLIA ROLEX CUP
For the first time in its history, the Giraglia Regatta great race of 243 miles from Saint-Tropez will not be heading to Italy but to Monaco, through the Giraglia islet in the north of Corsica. The choice of this port of arrival isn’t anodyne and coincides with the opening on Friday, June 20th of the new Monaco Yacht Club.

- Sunday, June 15th to Tuesday, June 17th: Inshore Races in the Bay of Saint-Tropez

- Saturday, June 21st: Giraglia prize-giving in the Monaco Yacht Club
